Manchester United star Bruno Fernandes is reportedly on the verge of signing a new long-term contract.
The Portugal international has been an excellent contributor for the Red Devils with more than 80 goal contributions in two years.
The club are now prepared to reward him for his efforts. According to Fabrizio Romano, he could sign a new deal until June 2027.
He is currently on wages of around £180,000-a-week. That is expected to be increased to £240,000-a-week with the renewal.
Fernandes has no concerns whatsoever over the extension, and it appears only a matter of time before he puts pen-to-paper.
Aside from the Portuguese, United are also considering a new deal for Luke Shaw despite his inconsistent showing this term.
The England international has given the green light for the renewal, but the hierarchy may delay negotiations until the summer.
Shaw’s performances will be analysed before an offer is made. He is currently on wages of around £150,000-a-week.
